Acting Commerce and Industry Minister Nooruddin Azizi has called on Afghan entrepreneurs residing abroad to consider investing in their homeland.
During his visit to Ashgabat, Azizi participated in the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan Business Forum and toured a joint Turkmen-Afghan exhibition.
Azizi encouraged Afghan businesspeople to explore the opportunities and resources available in Afghanistan.
He reiterated the interim government’s commitment to using Afghan tax revenue for the country’s reconstruction efforts.
Afghan traders and investors highlighted challenges in oil transportation and proposed establishing a free trade zone at the Turkmenbashy port.
They also suggested the formation of a joint Afghan-Turkmen bank, tariff reductions, achieving trade balance, and boosting Afghan exports to Turkmenistan.
