Orbex is a forex and CFD broker that has operated since 2011. In July 2025 it closed its EU business and began giving up its CySEC licence, so it now serves clients only through offshore entities. Here is what that means.
Risk warning: CFDs and leveraged forex are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. Most retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs. You should consider whether you understand how CFDs work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money. This review is for information only and is not investment advice.

Regulation and safety
Orbex’s current entities include:

- Orbex Limited: Seychelles FSA securities dealer (offshore).
- Orbex LLC: a company in St Vincent and the Grenadines, where forex brokers are not licensed.
- The website names different companies as the operator in different places, so check carefully which entity your agreement is with.
- The former EU entity stopped serving clients on 15 July 2025, and Orbex can no longer carry out regulated business in the UK.
Licence details above are as stated by Orbex. Always check the firm and website on the regulator’s official register before you open an account, and confirm which entity your account will be held with. Regulation does not protect you against trading losses. See our guide: How to check if a broker is legitimate.

Who might consider Orbex?
Since its EU exit, Orbex mainly serves clients outside Europe through offshore entities. Traders should consider whether they are comfortable with that level of regulation.
Summary
Orbex has a long history but is now an offshore-only broker after leaving the EU. Check which entity you would join and the protections available before opening an account.
Information in this review was checked against Orbex’s published information and public regulatory records in November 2026. Details change, so always confirm the current terms on the broker’s own website and the regulator’s register.
